IE Favorites Question

I'm a little confused about IE Favorites. About a month ago I saved a website with info I needed into my favorites. Because the info was important, I also check the box that would allow me to view the page offline. It then saved the pages after asking me how many links down I wanted to save. So I thought I had it.

I find out yesterday that the site no longer is there....the domain expired and there is some canned message from the registrar.

No problem as I have it saved right?

So I go to file, and click "Work Offline" and then click on that site in my favorites and it still shows the canned registrar message.

Where is this site? I know it downloaded on my PC so where on my HD is the files. When I go to my favorites folder on the HD and rightclick on the file and go to properties, it says that it was a 2mb download. so where did it download it? I need the info badly so anyone who can help.....PLEASE!
