What does this .dll do & The newest version of WUD

I'm just curious to know what the "ICSharpCode.SharpZipLib.dll" that was installed

into the "Windows Updates Downloader" folder is used for?

Also the new updated version of WUD won't work for me. When I start it up, it just indicates

it can't find any updates. The older version I had installed (still do) seemed to work just fine.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.
