which speech engine build-in windows server 2003?

I install a software have a problem with windows xp speech engine 4.0 , but install it on win2003 server is ok. So i want to know what's the speer enginer build-in windows server 2003? THX

The SAPI (Speech API) v5.1 shipped with Office 2003, Windows XP, and Windows Server 2003, but Windows XP uses version 5 of the speech recognition engine (what you're likely having trouble with), whereas Server 2003 and Office 2003 use version 6 of the speech recognition engine.

If you've got an application that requires SAPI v4.x (running version 4 of the speech recognition engine) or SAPI v5.0 or 5.1 (running version 5 of the speech recognition engine), I would suggest running it either on a Windows 2000 machine (as SAPI v4 shipped with Windows 2000) or a Server 2003 machine (optionally running Speech Server 2004), as SAPI v5.2 products handle v4 or v5.x speech applications probably better than SAPI v5.1 will, in non-scientific testing.

Note that SAPI 5.2 ships with Speech Server 2004, and SAPI 5.3 ships with Windows Vista and likely Longhorn Server (and SAPI 5.2 and 5.3 products are leaps and bounds ahead of even SAPI 5.1 products using speech engine version 6).

My problem is "When i install IBM translation software in my computer, the systme show me "Microsoft speech API 4.0 Command line option syntax error " But I install it on windows server 2003 is ok. I guess the problem with the microsoft speech engine 4.0. So how do i update speech engine to a high version or someone give me a suggestion.Thx"

You may be able to upgrade by installing the speech components of Office 2003, but more than likely you will need to upgrade the IBM software or run it on Server 2003 or Speech Server 2004 if you wish to use the current version of the IBM software.
