how to reaccess programs after unattended install over image

hi folks,

this is my first post after creating an unattended cd with nlite and installing over an existing partition with programs on it. the result was a working xp system with no extra programs installed. i didn't format the partition and it left a windows.0 directory. i don't quite get how to get wpi to work, so unattended program install is a later step.

however, if i list the program files directory, i see all the old programs left from the previous install.

is there a way that i can somehow get back/re-access those old programs? i can get registry backup of the old system with the programs but don't know what to save/export.
