XP MCE Raid/slipstream help please?

Featured Replies

hey guys, ive done a search! :D

im a noob so please be patient with me!

ok heres my problem.

i downgraded my vaio ra304 to vista and am really having problems with it, so have decided to go back to xp.

my original xp disc install fine.

but im in anakin skywalker mode and WANT MORE!!!!!!!!!!! :realmad:

so id like to install xpmce on my pc.

now i have an intel 8280fr raid controller, which i have the drivers for.

i load them onto floppy and at the beggining of the install, setup prompts me teeling me that

"setup cannot copy iastore.sys", it then goes on to skip all my raid files and setup fails.

so then, i stumbled across msfn.org and followed a guide to slipstreaming, and now my iso has grown from 2gb to 6.8gb, just by adding 1mb's worth of drivers?!!!!

and when i use nlite, i get errors and it still doesnt seem to work.

so im guessing i screwed it up.

now, how can i get around this and load the drivers from my floppy?

or as a last resort, is there some kind of idiots guide to mce slipstreaming?

thanks for any help or suggestions provided guys.

ps-sorry if ive posted in the wrong forum, or done anything in the wrong way.
