This is soooo anoying :realmad: . When i open a program it appears on the taskbar but dosen't open. I have to right click it and click maximise but for programssuch as spybot s&d and instalation software i cannot view them because they cannot be maximised. I have windows xp professional (version 2002) sp2. please help me.

Does this happen for every application, or just certain applications? Also, does it happen right after a restart, or does it take some time for the issue to begin? One other question - when the issue occurs, how many other applications do you have running (including interactive services)?

it happens all the time no matter how many programs i have running it happens to every application

The next question is when did this start happening, and does it also occur when running in safe mode?

Create a new user and try with the new created user. If it's only profile related it should work with the new created user.
