Bad boy Warrior Posted October 2, 2006 Posted October 2, 2006 I have 2 operating systems installed i.e. Windows 2000 and Windows XP. I want to hide one of these systems so theyre not displayed at startup (when you choose which system to load) instead i want to have a button to be pressed i.e. F8 (or any other button/ key sequence) to allow this system to be shown/loaded anyone know how this can be done or anything along the lines of this?Cheers
shooter468 Posted October 2, 2006 Posted October 2, 2006 on windowsXP right click on my computer and click properties go to advanced and press the settings button in startup and recovery boxyou can make XP the default Os that computer will boot to and hide the other os
uid0 Posted October 2, 2006 Posted October 2, 2006 You can hide the drives from disk management, and edit boot.ini to hide the menu, but that wont give you any hidden option functionality. To do that you need a bootloader, I use XOSL but there are several that can hide partitions and require passwords.
