Changing the network volume timeout value

Recommended Posts

Hi,

when I login into my w2k machine the network volumes I occasionally use, start trying to re-add themselves. These samba volumes are accessed via a vpn tunnel but I do not want to have those connected every time I login into w2k. So what happens is that I press Esc when logging into w2k since there is some default timeout value before the connection gives up. Is there a way to set this value to 0, or any way that the drives remain disconnected upon login and only later when i click them in lets say total commander they try to reestablish the connection and ask for user/pass?

Thanks,

Tomas
