Folder opening trouble

Featured Replies

I have had this problem for a while and it's just gotten too annoying. Somehow, when double clicking on any folder except the "Windows" main folder (My Computer, My Documents, etc), the folder does not open, but open the "Search" window instead.

Right clicking the mouse, the context menu shows "Search" as the first item in the list and in bold. The "Open" selection is also there, but NOT first in line. Obviously THIS is why double clicking on a folder opens the "Search" window.

SO, my question is: How do I put "Open" back as the first choice when double clicking a folder.

Help!

Thanks for any suggestions.
