vista pre rc1 and rc1 crashes

since pre rc1 and rc1 builds everytime i boot the computer it work fine for a minute or so then the mouse freezes and i cant do anything but reboot the computer...

any ideas on whats causing it, i was really looking forward to rc1

pentium 4 3.2 gig

1500mb ram

geforce 6800GT 256mb ram

realtek audio

was this a clean install? or an upgrade from a previous version of XP or vista?
