Hello all-

I've had x64 installed for a long while, and I've been keeping it up-to-date as best I can.

Every once in awhile, my system slows to an absolute crawl, and I manage to pull up task manager, and a program called msdtcuius.exe is taking up all of my cpu. It's listed as Base Pri "Low," which is strange, but also it seems to be a registered windows file.

Trouble is, every google search I come up with has no information. Even microsoft's knowledgebase doesn't have any files documenting the purpose of this file.

I've been having great success with this aside from Acrobat not being able to install its printer driver, so I was wondering if anyone else was encountering the same scenario. Thanks in advance!

MS DTC is Microsoft Distributed Transaction Coordinator, so this application might be the service executable. Disable it in services.msc and see what happens.
