Software Security Keys

So, i have a computer that had windows ME on it...I also had a program called "Procat Winner". I just recently bought a new computer, has windows XP home on it, and i got the software itself to install, but now i am geting a error that says "REplace Security Software Key", i have a feeling it is saying htis because the key is on a par port and its not picking up the key, is there any way to turn the port on to see the key? ANy suggestions at all will be greatly appreicated.
