RIS-Server Properties

Hello,

mx RIS-Sever on the Plattform of Windows 2000 Server have in the Properties/ Remote Install the Button "Verify Server". I don`t know what this Function.

Somebody can declare me what happens as soon as I press this button?

It will verify:

1. Verify that services are started properly (BINLSVC)

2. SIS (Single Instance Storage) service is enabled and working

3. Verify that the IP address that the machine is listening to, is authorized in the AD

4. Verify that it can find a DHCP server which can service clients...

I also found out that it (on Win2003) changes the inital boot files if they have been changed, for example the startrom.com if it has been renamed into startrom.n12....
