How to let my application run with highest priority

I have developed a time critical process (application program) run under

Windows XP. I would like to let this process run with highest priority among the other

processes which also run on Windows.

We have tried to use Win 32 API function SetPriorityClass() and set process priority

with REAL_TIME, but it is seems does not work. I don't know whether I miss some steps

setting. Can all of you offer some suggestions or codes to solve my problem. Thanks!
