Windows AIK not found?

Hi All,

This is a brand new OS install of build 5472 and I installed BDD 2007 straight afterwards.

I having this error when loading BDD Workbench.

Anybody else having this problem?

Did you run the WAIK msi after installing BDD. Its in the WAIK subdirectory.

looks like you forgot to install the WAIK after installing the BDD, go into the BDD folder made on the C:\programfiles\BDD2007 (i think) there will be a WAIk folder you have to install the WAIK from then it will work, *warning* the BDD is very version specific with vista, 5472 probably will not work as any build after 5384 has not worked properly with it

OMG. BDD installer copied over 800 MiB of data and yet didn't install WAIK?

it will be fixed in the next release of the BDD, just remeber when you work with beta software that wierd things are the norm.

Hi All,

I believe BDD 2007 is not working with Vista 5472 release. At work I had to go back to original 5384 release of vista to get BDD to work. MMC crashes when you want to create image, I believe.

That's right fizban2; I should not forget that. Bitfrotter might be right or it can be a problem with my config?

This is the error I get with WSIM in both Server 2003 and Vista build 5472.

as in my post above,

the only build that will work with the BDD is 5384, because of the beta state and the way each build changes, the BDD will only work with the build that was released at the time BDD was (5384) newer build will not work until a new version of the BDD comes out
