Thanks for the info!

I still have the Detonator 2 drivers :)

Thanks Mark Fox of Maxreboot. As some of you might be aware, Detonator XP 21.81 does cause a number of problems on some machines. I have been reading threads in many forums all over the web where users have been experiencing performance decreases, random lockups and degraded image quality with these latest drivers.

NVIDIA of course advises those that experience such problems to go back to the previous driver which has worked for you.

Today, Maxreboot have been told by Derek Perez of NVIDIA that "there are a number of issues that have been reported with Detonator XP and we are addressing those issues. When we are ready - we will be posting another WHQL certified driver" on Maxreboot have been told by Derek Perez of www.nvidia.com I presume...

So there you are, if you are having problems with Detonator XP 21.81, don't worry too much. NVIDIA's engineers are working on addressing those issues, and as soon as they are satisfied that the problems have been fixed, they will release an update to Detonator XP on their website. This time the drivers will also be WHQL'ed.

The big question is when, but NVIDIA wasn't prepared to specify a date at this time. In a meantime, if you can't get 21.81's to work, go back to the driver you have used previously. Who knows, the next Detonator XP could be just around the corner...
