The process is like this:

Use unattended Windows CD (Created with the help of the informative MSFN site here)

Install applications

Build the default user

Run sysprep to clear the SIDs (without restarting the computer)

Use MS Backup to create the image

put that image file into a DVD

This becomes the image

On a new computer, I would use a unattended Windows CD to install a base Windows

Then run the image file using MS backup

But I always get registry errors, etc.

I received a:

PROCESS1_INITIALIZATION_FAILED BSOD before

Unable to write into the registry before the minisetup starts with sysprep

Has anyone used MS backup as their image and used it successfully? Any help is appreciated..Thanks!
