Hi all

if anyone here has used round robin before and can help me i would be most grateful

basically i have 2 servers, both have dns on them and both have 3 NICS

each nic has a seperate IP so i set up round robin to balance the load.

i checked it was setup by looking in dnsmgmt and cheking that there were 3 A records and 3 ptr records pointing to each server, now the problem.....

when i ping one of the servers it always resolves to the same ip address. all the clients have static IP's should this make a difference?

thank you for any help :)


Do a reverse ping. Ping -a to all three IP's and see if it resolves the same name... I guess what I am asking is do you really have a problem?
