Outlook Office XP, Signature Problem

I have a computer with Office XP, i am having a problem with the Outlook signature, here is the problem:

I create a signature and aplied to the outlook, but when i shutdown my computer and turn it back on the signature is gone, is not there, to verify if i still got the signature, i go to tools, options, mail format and then signature, and is empty.

Anyone have an idea what could be making this problem to happen.
