twave Posted June 30, 2006 Posted June 30, 2006 I have 6 Word documents. A master and 5 input documents. When a user saves an input document a macro inserts the content in the master.doc.How can I prevent users from opening and editing master.doc while still allowing write access to update content with the input documents?
JBeau Posted July 20, 2006 Posted July 20, 2006 Open the master document then go to TOOLS > OPTIONS > SECURITY and put in a password to open the master document. Now no one can open/edit the master but can still access the sub documents.
