Did the UA guide help?

  • 3 weeks later...

no, not really. i've been following the UA guide step by step now for the past 3 days and im at the point where i just need to throw in my favorite programs. I tried to silent install NIS 2006 using the NSW technique (<filepath>\SymSettup.exe /ReallySuppress /qb-) and it was working fine until about half way in when, where it would normally say "Installing system files..." it said "Fatal Error, gathering files" but it kept going. so I figured it might b okay.. and then it stopped and a msg popped up saying "The installation encountered an error and is unable to continue" with only an X button to close it. so uh.. how do i get around this? any help please?

I think I got the solution! i'm going to test it out a bit with a few different things and will post it soon as im sure it works.
