rjweaver Posted June 23, 2006 Posted June 23, 2006 Is there a way add a scheduled task, but have it disabled?I have jobs set to do a defrag on all drives through the night. My management team has told me they want the jobs in the scheduled tasks, just defaulted as "disabled".I have played around with the "schtasks", but couldn't find a "disabled" switch.Any advice out there?Thank You.
allen2 Posted June 24, 2006 Posted June 24, 2006 On the task tab you should have to uncheck active if you want to disable it.
rjweaver Posted June 24, 2006 Author Posted June 24, 2006 Sorry I didn't make this more clear...I need to be able to add a job to the task scheduler (through scripting or through the command prompt), but have it defaulted to "disabled".
allen2 Posted June 25, 2006 Posted June 25, 2006 Jt.exe should do the job but i didn't get to disable a job but the help say it can. It can be downloaded from here. You could delete and recreate the task with a vbs.
