i have made UAXP CD,, which got lots of programs, contained heavy resource hacked files

designed for PC which got

256 or MORE RAM

2.0 GHZ or more processor

32 MB or greater AGP

,, now i want to make The CD to check the system conf that i need before it could proceed for installation..

process should be :

boot from CD rom: (from bios)

checking system requirements

passed

press any key to continue XP installation

normal installation

what i mean is it should check the sys conf. on the very begining when CD boots

then only should proceed for the installation

if the conf is below that i mentioned,, it should give message that it can't proceed ,, or installation failed or check ur sys. conf

sorry for my bad english.. :)

In nlite, there is an option on "options" not to check hdd and ram requirements. I think it's turned off by default. You might have to run nlite once more and enable it.

Does it check your graphics card? Cos virtual pc for me uses s3 trio64 and that only has 2mb of emulated vram.

You can do some very simple WMI queries for the first two items (processor speed and memory size). The third option will require a more advanced video driver to be installed; you probably can't do that with that from PE easily.

Consider revising your suggestion for a 2.0ghz processor... An AMD at 1.66ghz may perform quite adequately; a Pentium-M would also perform quite well at much slower speeds too.
