T D Posted June 18, 2006 Posted June 18, 2006 If you use nero to make your disc bootable (I find it better cos you don't have to make an iso) look at this screenshot and see if it corresponds.http://tacktech.com/images/articles/297/create03.pngIn the latest nero 6.x, there is platform identifier option though.
infoseeker Posted June 19, 2006 Author Posted June 19, 2006 sorry i got problem with neroi tried to reinstall it but no availis there any other option in this matter?
T D Posted June 19, 2006 Posted June 19, 2006 You mean you tried to reinstall nero or windows? If you use the latest nero6 (not sure about 7) then the screenshots will be a bit different.
pmshah Posted June 21, 2006 Posted June 21, 2006 Generally when no cd is included with the pc the restore image/info is stored on a hidden partition on the hdd. If you fully formatted the hdd you may have lost this data & rendered the pc non restorable.Suggest you contact the oem to obtain a cd.
T D Posted June 21, 2006 Posted June 21, 2006 You can contact M$ and if you've got details of your cd (ie serial, type etc) they can get your manufacturer to get you a new disc.
pmshah Posted June 21, 2006 Posted June 21, 2006 I thought on oem versions you were not even supposed call M$.
T D Posted June 22, 2006 Posted June 22, 2006 I did. They referred me to my manufacturer when I lost my s/n.If you have the number then scrap M$.
