I get this error message opening Outlook. I installed BCM after installing Outlook 2003:

...your .oft file for message class ipm.contact.bcm.account has a wrong version...

I cannont get the BCM options in the menu system so I cannot restore my previous backup file..

All contacts I have previously entered are still there, but other things like custom categories and stuff are not.

I have reinstalled it, updated it, enabled it, etc and still get this message.

Nothing comes up in a google search, etc for this error message.

Any ideas?

Hello joey022461 or anyone who may be able to help me.

I am trying to re-install Business Contact Mgr but I keep getting the following messages. I've reinstalled it several times and the result is the same each time:

"Business Contact Manager for Outlook could not complete your last action or actions. Please try again" I don't know what actions it means.

"Your .oft file for message class IPM.Contact.BCM.Account has a wrong version. Requested version 2.003516.00, .oft form version 1.001616.00." That may be true but I have no clue what it means or how to correct the problem.

and when I try to open a business contact detail window, I get this:

"Business Contact Manager was unable to initialize this form"

Thank you for any help ...

OK - Business Contact Manager Fix - for "Your .oft file for message class IPM.Contact.BCM.Account has a wrong version. Requested version 2.00.3516.00, oft form Version 1.00.1616.00

Here is the link to microsoft's download that you will need.

http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/details...;DisplayLang=en

This is micosoft's update File Name: BCMV2UPD.EXE Version: 1 Date Published: 6/14/2005

Download and run it. When you pull Outlook back up, do a REINSTALL of Business Contact Manager....I had the exact same issue after I downloaded Spyware Blaster from pctools.com - it wiped out my business contact manager for some reason...I could see the contacts, but couldn't get the detail (linked emails, etc.)

This should fix your issue(s). :hello:
