[Solved] Registry Values for Explorer Toolbar

Featured Replies

Where are the registry values for the explorer toolbar stored in the registry?

I'm not talking about internet explorer, but windows file explorer.

I have enable the cut, copy, and paste buttons and want to store the registry values to I can easily import but can't find it in registry, even in advanced section of explorer.

I've done a lot of searching and it seems the Explorer toolbar buttons is not stored in system registry.

I believe the buttons are stored in the explorer.exe file.

But I don't know if that's possible since changing the buttons would change the explorer.exe. If not, then that info should be store somewhere in an external file.

Using regshot, i figures out the location of the windows explorer toolbar settings:

[HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\Toolbar\ShellBrowser]

"{01E04581-4EEE-11D0-BFE9-00AA005B4383}"

Both the windows explorer toolbar and internet explorer toolbar settings are stored here.
