dod9 Posted June 9, 2006 Posted June 9, 2006 I have a room with 100 networked windows (XP & 2k) computers, I want to be able to configure and ovverride settings (such as desktop wallpaper, homepage, showing network connection icon, rebooting, shutting down, power saving etc) on all of them at once, do you know of any software or infrastructure that would enable me to do this?I have searched and searched but either nothing exists to do this or my wording is incoherent with the trend.I appreciate any help, I think this would be very useful software to write, the client (or puppet master) would send commands to the puppets which have the server listening and the server would translate and apply the commands in the native operating systems procedures.I would happily set up a domain if neccessary as my company has an MSDN subscription.
janus zeal Posted June 9, 2006 Posted June 9, 2006 (edited) The easyiest way to do this is to setup a domain. then its just a matter of setting up system policy and sending it to the client PCs Edited June 9, 2006 by janus zeal
