Hi all.

1.

Has anyone silently installed Directory Opus without using an AutoIt script? Maybe by monitoring changes during a normal install (file & registry) using say, InstallRite, and packing it into a sfx with accompanying batch file(s)??

2.

During cmdlines, I run a batch that creates a bunch of folders in the Start Menu for allusers and for userprofile. When I install apps either silently with a switch or by repacking and copying a .lnk to the appropriate folder in the Start Menu, sometimes I get it wrong (say, it should have been 'userprofile, not allusersprofile) and after the install is done the said folder is now neither a folder or a file. Its easy to rectify - find the offending line etc. but its a bit of a pain. What I want to know is how to not have to worry if I just copy shortcuts to AllUsers and not have one or another Start Menu folders mucked up.

To expand, if I r.click on Start Menu, go Open, I see maybe half of my folders, and the other half in allusers.

Finally, any help is appreciated, thank you. I know its not the clearest but I'm knackered & my eyes are startting to bleed (slippy keyboard/spelung erors). I'll clarify later if needs be.

Cheers.
