Darius Posted June 3, 2006 Posted June 3, 2006 Hello All,I need some input into a problem we are having, more specifically Id like to get some opinions on whether the path we are taking to solve a problem is even realistic. We have a corporate zen (.zmg) sysprepped image for windows XP SP1. It works on about 1 dozen hardware devices ranging from a Dell GX260 to a Tecra S2. As mentioned the machine is sysprepped and it contains a drivers directory that the sysprep.inf file refers to in order to load drivers on the hardware types. This all worked great until our company started receiving Toshiba Tecra S3s which come with a proprietary scsi raid controller for the hard drive. We load the image and when we reboot the machine the setup will blue screen right after the windows logo appears. Is it possible to create an add on image that loads the scsi device driver as well as an updated sysprep.inf file to accomodate for the scsi controller? If I am not mistaken when you sysprep your 'master' machine when creating the image sysprep will integrate many registry changes into the image hence adding a sysprep.inf as an add on after the fact on a different type of computer may not work. Is it possible to load scsi drivers for a hardrive onto an existing image that does not contain them?Any thoughts or input would be greatly appreciated. ThanksDARIUS
