[Help] Lost files

I'm currently running windows xp home edition, and out if the blue i keep getting a pop up error message saying i'm missing a file (crediu.dll). this message only pops up when my computer is trying to connect to the internet, i have a feeling it could be to do with MSN messenger. when at university i can use the internet through explorer, however when i am at home i cannot log onto the internet through AOL broadband at all. i've used a program that is supposed to clean up and repair, however this has not worked. i also cannot find my windowws cd to upload it again. what should i do?
