Hardware accel on Longhorn Server beta 2

I was wondering if anyone of you folks managed to enable hardware acceleration on the server version of Vista. Theoretically, it should suffice to enable it in the display settings, but the button is greyed out. Even enabling it by force just starts AdapterTroubleshooter.exe which does exactly nothing. Setting all instances of Acceleration.Level to 0 like in previous Windows versions doesn't anything either.

Using D3D applications makes the system read out all sort of registry and load all sort of related DLLs, which it wouldn't do if it were enabled, however no dice.
