Upgrade from German version

Hi!

I use the German language version of Office 2000 Professional and am thinking about upgrading to Office XP Pro in English. Does anybody know if there are compatibility problems? Also, will the upgrade be valid = will I be able to install the upgrade inspite of the language difference?

Thanks for any help or links to this subject. (Didn't want to pay EUR 49.00 for a hotline call!)
