A duplicate name exists on the network, how do I make it go away and is this serious?

just rename one of the computers to a name which doesn't exist

you have two (2) or more computers with the same name.

Find one and change it to something else.

Is it serious, not really, but very annoying for the uses of said computers.

was this a ghost image on two identical computers?

If so then the SID will match two and that can cause some problems?

If this is an image then you can run a program like ghstwalk.exe to change the computer name and SID to one of the computers.
