Unable to connect

Hi All,

Hope someone can help me here. I have what I thought was a susccesful unattended install. But now that i have deployed it to several desktops. I noticed I am getting the following error;

I right click MyComputer --> goto manage --> right click Computer Management --> select Connect to another computer, enter a computer name then check on the Event Vier I get the followongg error;

Event Viewer

Unable to connect to the computer "???????".

The network path was not found.

It's a networking issue. Can you ping the other box successfully?

Check your firewall settings. If file/printer sharing (someting like that) is not an exception, then you won't be able to connect as the other computer will block the incoming conneciton.

By default, XP's firewall does not have this exception enabled.

I am able to ping also I am able to access computer by going to run then \\computername\c$.

I checked firewall it is off.

Any more help will be appreciated.

Hi All,

After reviewing I was able to find the problem. I checked machines that it did work on to the bad ones and the Registry Remote in Services was diabled. Once I enable and started that service I was able to see the Event Viewer.
