No Network Link

I have a friends new HP laptop with Dual Core, 17" LCD, SATA HD, Wireless, etc., NICE

Problem is:

Can go out on the Intenet with Wired 10/100 but when I try to link to a known working peer to peer

network I cannot see any drives. When I try to map a drive it shows the Workgroup and that's all it does.

Have checked the Worgroup name and it is the same. I plug my laptop in and everythings

works as expected.

Never experienced anything like this.

Any ideas

FYI

I will answer my own question:

Turns out the problem is the FULL/BIG version of Trend Antivirus Suite

If the suite is turned ON = NO Network links.

If the suite is turned OFF = Everything works fine.

There is probably some Trend setting that allows the Network to operate,

not my problem, the laptop owner can figure that one out.
