moveteam Posted May 17, 2006 Posted May 17, 2006 Hello!I have purchased a HP Pavilion dv8000t notebook. It has a Nvidia Geforce Go 7400 128 MB RAM, now I have installed Vista Build 5342. When I first start it there was nothing driver for the graphich card, but I found one, who work on 53xx builds. It's work fine (I get 1440x900 resoultion, before I just get 800x600), but Aero Glass is still not on. I found a guide, who said I shoud do that:1. Right click on desktop, and choose Personalize.2. Choose Color Scheme.3. Now chose Windows Aero.I do so, but it's go back on Windows Vista basic. And in Device Manager, following is writted: Nvidia Geforce Go 7400 (WDDM)I have hearn a lot of people, who also didn't coud get Aerto work on Vista 5342. Shoud I download 5381 from Connect? And last: Did you think it because of it's not a official driver fromNvidia?Sorry my very bad english, I am 13 years old and come frome Denmark Best RegardsJakob
fizban2 Posted May 18, 2006 Posted May 18, 2006 jakob, you may have to run some tests with the computer to check the performance level on the computer, from the computer properties page you can check the perfomance level and rerun the tests to see if you get a higher number, this will also kick on the Aero effects if you have change the video drivers since the last time this test was run (done at isntallation) see if that helps
moveteam Posted May 18, 2006 Author Posted May 18, 2006 OK.I have restored XP, and downloaded the new Upgrade Advisor from MS site. The program say, at my graphic adapter will run Windows® Aero, but at the drivers don't are in Vista, when I install. But when I check Nvidias site, there's only for the February CTP, did you think there come new drivers to beta 2 from Nvidia?Regards.
