Nero Icons don't Display Correctly

i'm having problems displaying my nero icons with my video programs. everything works great but i have creative playing my audio and it takes over my nero video icons for some reason. i've tried to change properties to open with nero, but that doesn't work. i've tried nero clean tool and reinstall and uninstall both nero and creative, i've tried folder options and checking up on file extenstions which look good with nero icons full on display but it just won't change over on my computer. the creative icon is nero's default icon right now.

i have windows media player and when i change properties to opening with window media player the media player icon displays. there's just something wrong with nero.

i have a brand new computer from dell and spent quite a few bucks on it so i'm not running a crappy computer. i don't think my computer is the problem.. i'm just really stumped.... i've been researching half the day, but i'll keep trying.

oh alright, i think i got it. i dled something called file type association editor, creative was taking over my icons for some reason. thanks for the reply. and sorry about the post. take care.
