How would I advise my nephew on starting IT

Hello Everyone:

I have a nephew who is in grade 8 and shows keen interest in IT, PC, SW and HW....He is very intelligent too..He can assemble a desktop. He has learned it by reading magazines...I recently got to know about it..

I would like to guide him properly..and give information on how and where to find information etc..I am not much of a tech savy myself...So, I thought of getting help from someone who is...

I would like to know where he should start from....Could anyone give me any advice in this regard..?

Any suggestions would be highly appreciated..
