July 21, 200323 yr hi all, i have a weird problem that i am helping a friend with here goes:recently he upgraded his 2000 server to sp4. when he did this a bit of code stopped working. on this server he is using the "net send" feature to broadcast messages to all of the network users. and he wrote a bit of asp code that enabled him to run this broadcast messenging service from any pc on the network. well after installing SP4 this no longer works and it will not even give any errors. does anyone know if SP4 has a new patch that deals with the messenger service or some how with it. we are thinking ti might be security related, thanks.
July 22, 200323 yr Author well at first that what i thought it was but i can do it from the server directly but not from any other machines.
