Silently register Quicktime 7

Featured Replies

I have my unattended CD set to silently install quicktime 7 and everything works. The only problem is I have to manually enter my Pro serial to register it. Does anyone know where quicktime stores its registration info so I can import it durning my unattended setup?

There information is in the file 'com.apple.QuickTime.plist' which is found in the following folder:

%ALLUSERSPROFILE%\Application Data\Apple Computer\QuickTime

You could save a copy of this file and have it copied over into the appropriate folder during your unattended installation. I personally have SFX file that runs after the Quicktime install and copies the file over.
