[Error] Windows Genuine Advantage check BSODs my computer

Recommended Posts

Posted

The title says it all, both the activex, web-based check and the one from the IE7 Beta2 installer cause my (perfectly legal) windows XP installation to blue screen. The error is apparantly in my raid driver sil3112r.sys which I need to access the xp partition.

Anyone else had this? Any idea how I can resolve it?

Thanks

No problem. I only ask because there are over 100 possible bugchecks, so saying you've got one without saying which makes it a bit hard to troubleshoot :). Glad to hear a driver update helped.
