Hi,

Hope someone could help me out please. I've got a Buffalo USB2.0 1GB flash drive, and when I plug it ito a spare USB port one of two strange things happen. It gets recognized as a removable drive and works perfectly but it also adds an extra CD rom device 'CX3823T AZO2731 SCSI CD Rom device' to my drives with removable storage list.

When I disconnect the USB drive the 'CX3823T' entry remains and device manager reports it as working ok (even tho it doesn't physically exist on my system)

I can uninstall the 'CX3823T' drive from device manager but it reappears when I reinsert the flash drive.

The flash drive works fine when you plug it in and the 'CX3823T' entry doesn't already exist, but if I haven't uninstalled it first the system grinds to a halt.

Any ideas on how I can fix this - I'm using a fully upto date XP SP2 machine. Other devices connected via USB are an HP PSC1205, keyboard, mouse, and a cable for my nokia 6230i

Many Thanks,
