Missing Contacts List

Hello

I maintain a small network with Exchange 2003 server and Outlook XP and 2003 clients. All of the information is stored on the Exhcange server and in Outlook the Inboxes are all in "Mailbox - Username", instead of Personal Folders.

This works great for calendar sharing and emails.

However, i recently discvered that when I moved my contact list from Contacts in Personal Folders to Contacts in Mailbox - Username, I can no longer access those contacts.

For example, when I go to send an email, I go to Tools -> Address Book and I can choose where to find the contacts from. Among the options are Global Address Book (the users of the server) and Contacts. If I click on the contacts link, it only looks in the Contacts in Personal Folders.

Thus, I cannot seem to be able to access the contacts who are stored in the Contacts in Mailbox - Username.

Does anyone know how I can make Outlook look in this folder for the contacts?

Many thanks

Hamish

Hey

Fixed!

1. Open Outlook

2. In the menu, click Go -> Folder List

3. In the left hand panel, find the Contacts link underneath "Mailbox - Lynn"

4. Right click on this Contacts link, and press Properties.

5. Go to the Outlook Address Book tab

6. Tick "Show this folder as an e-mail address book"

7. Change the name to Contacts in Exchange

8. Press Apply and OK.

9. Restart Outlook.

10. When you go into the Address Book, one of the drop down address books

should be Contacts in Exchange.
