Azar Posted April 23, 2006 Posted April 23, 2006 I've got an...unusual...problem with XP and I'm hoping there's someone out there who can maybe see something I'm missing. When I open up network connections, select my active network connection (Local Area Connection), right-click it and click "Status" nothing happens.Similarly, if I click "View status of this connection" in the explorer bar nothing happens. But, if I drag a shortcut to the connection onto my desktop or put the status icon in the system tray and view the status from either of those (right click-> 'status'), it works as normal.I would have tried a system restore but I honestly can't remember when I started having this problem...it's been for some time now. I've run out of ideas.I'm running XP Professional Version 2002 (SP2).
darioism Posted January 4, 2008 Posted January 4, 2008 Uncheck the "Launch folder windows in a separate process" option in Folder Options, reboot, fixed! I had searched for ages for this solution! Thanks to this guy: http://www.neowin.net/forum/index.php?showtopic=490450
