Gateway MCE

I got a gateway laptop it came with MCE 2005 Can i use my key for it on a Regular OEM MCE disk iv tryed it on one iv downloaded but says invalid key i was told by gateway that its a bulk key or corp key can i change the MCE 2005 disk to acept my key it should actavate as its a good key i hate the gateway system restore and want to do away with it and all the evil pre loaded apss
