johnlee2509 Posted April 11, 2006 Posted April 11, 2006 Hi,To date I have not been able to put a final tweak on my installation cd. I would like to be able to change the text on the [system Properties] [General] tab. When you have OEMLOGO.bmp and OEMINFO.ini in the system32 folder, you see the text"Manufactured and supported by:" above the logo.Is there a way to edit this text or delete it?RegardsJohn
Mordac85 Posted April 11, 2006 Posted April 11, 2006 It's in C:\Windows\System32\SYSDM.CPL, Dialog #101. You can edit it with something like Resource Hacker, but just remember that it may get replaced by a future hotfix or service pack.
johnlee2509 Posted April 11, 2006 Author Posted April 11, 2006 Many thanks, ive been searching the sysdm.cpl for ages but could not find it using a hex editor. the ResHack is a fine utilty. Thanks again..RegardsJohn
Mordac85 Posted April 12, 2006 Posted April 12, 2006 No problem. I had wondered the same thing but just never took the time to track it down. Guess I needed a little nudge.
SilverBulletUK Posted April 12, 2006 Posted April 12, 2006 Hello,As always, your answer is lying awit here.http://unattended.msfn.org/unattended.xp/view/web/77/SilverB
Mordac85 Posted April 12, 2006 Posted April 12, 2006 Not quite. We were talking about a hack on the file that shows the text above the oemlogo (Manufactured and supported by:), not the oemlogo itself.
