Hi guys,

Just a simple query I think...

I've got a Media Center 2005 DVD, which i've created an image of... (no problems there)

Using WinISO, I added a folder for all my drivers (again, no problems)... saved it, burnt it and I know it works...this took me to about 1~1.3GB.

So, I thought... "ah ha!" I'll add some applications and /integrate all of my hotfixes... the integration went fine and my svcpack folder has all the .cat files etc... so I think that'll work no problems... I know i still have to manually install .NET and the Rollup2 (which is fine).

So, anyway... I slipstreamed all the updates and added another folder called Applications and put loads of stuff in there... Alcohol 120%, Nero 7, an image of Office 2003, Autoroute 2006, CS2, Acrobat etc... and this takes it to 4GB.

The problem is, although WinISO says it's bootable it won't save, it just crashes all the time... MagicISO (again says its bootable) will save it...no problem... but running Virtual PC, it says

"This file does not appear to be a CD image.

CD image files must be greater than 2MB and a multiple of 2K in size."

although on the 1~13GB image, it's fine...

but if I burn it, it just makes the PC reboot all the time... on an installed operating system all of the applications and files etc work and you can read/install them.

so it just seems to be a bootable problem, is there a limit on bootable image sizes?

I simply took a working MCE2005.ISO and deleted the i386 folder and replaced it with the slipstreamed one (which is cool....) but adding all the applications and drivers etc seems to have broke it :(
