Vista 5270 De-installation issue

Recommended Posts

Posted

I had installed Vista 5270 in a dual boot situation with XP SP2 MCE. I had installed Vista on a separate IDE Harddisk D:. XP is running on a SATA Harddisk c:

To remove Vista, I had deleted all files on the D-drive, I ran 'fixmbr' and 'fixboot' in the XP2 Setup CD Recovery Console and everything seemed to work fine afterwards.

Only recently when I felt the need to run a repair setup of the XP installation, I discovered that XP Setup declares by C:-drive as un unknown harddisk with an unknown partition. Same situation when running 'Diskpart' under recovery console. I cannot even select the partition in order to delete it.

Any help is greatly appreciated!
