USB Deactivated?

I Just installed the 5342 beta, a clean install, after testing the upgrade (yucks), the problem is that the system works fine the first time, but after restart, the USB hub is disconnected, don't know why, so i cant use the mouse and keyboard, thats funny, cause they where working perfectly the first time, i cleared the Plug and Play configuration in the bios, but no effect, in safe mode works, but not in "normal" mode, could be a compatibility problem?, its a Via KM266 pro chipset.. (the only machine i got to test), 1GB ram, and a athlon XP 2600+, a Radeon 9250 video card, and a 40GB Ide disk, and that's all, BTW, i installed my motorola SurfBoard 4200 Cablemodem, but the system detected it and instaled the drivers from the disk, no problem, it just worked fine, with the latest windows XP drivers WHQL, so they must be working in compatibility mode.
