Hello all ...

I have a big problem ...

I explain : I want to deploy automaticaly Microsoft Updates with 2003 server and WSUS ...

I want to configure quickly and simply all client computers (with script or .reg), clients are unsing Group Strategy for commmunicate with WSUS.

I go to gpedit.msc => Computer configuration => Administration models => Windows Component => Windows Update, I have lots of parameters. i want to configure they on all my computers and the same configuration for all.

Registry keys are in :

[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Policies\Microsoft\Windows\WindowsUpdate]

[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Policies\Microsoft\Windows\WindowsUpdate\AU]

But i explain ...

- When i modify MANUALY this keys and i launch gpedit, modifications aren't saving, it is the same if i reboot my computer or if i launch gpupdate /force.

- When gpedit.msc is running, a temporary registry key is created with all parameters... If, without closing gpedit.msc, i modify temporary keys, gpedit.msc takes modifications ...

- Gpedit.msc change emporary keys AND in fixed keys quoting upper. But it don't load his parameters with they...

Can you tell me how to do for create .reg or script which install and configure automaticaly wauau.adm on a computer ???

Thank you all ...

PS : Excuse my bad english, because i am french ... ^^

First, wuau.adm doesn't get added automatically unless you install WSUS on a DC (which is not advisable). Second, if the reg keys don't stick, run regmon to see what is changing/deleting them after you add them - perhaps you already have something configured in GP for Windows Update?
